Ketu North Peace Ambassadors embark on a street Outreach
The Ketu North Peace Ambassadors (KANOPA), trained by FOSDA to promote peace in the Ketu North Constituency of the Volta, embarked on a street outreach on Sunday 27th October to sensitize constituents on the need for peaceful co-existence before, during and after the Ghana’s December 7th elections.
The Peace Ambassadors engaged individuals on the need for peace before, during and after the elections. They finally settled with the Okada (motor) riders at Dzodge market station and educated them on electoral processes and the need for lawful behavior before during and after the election. Okada riders were cooperative and pledged to behave well in this electioneering season, stating that they will not connive with politicians cause violence.
This activity forms part of FOSDA 2016 Non-violence elections campaign dubbed: Ghana 2016 Youth in Peaceful Election Campaign funded by the USAID REWARD Programme.
