- Youth in Governance: Ghana
In Ghana, FOSDA’s Youth in Governance (YIG) project is being implemented in the three Northern Regions, namely Upper East, Upper West and Northern Regions. Its primary targets are students at the senior high school level as well as out of school youth groups. Currently FOSDA is working with a total of 24 senior high schools on the project, that is eight per region. The project strategy is to build and enhance the capacity of the youth to debate on identified thematic areas which are relevant to them as youth and critical for the development of society. Views expressed and outcomes of these debates are collated by the out of school youth groups as advocacy issues to be addressed by relevant sectors and stakeholder.
