FOSDA Executive Director Wins Martin Luther King Award for Peace and Social Justice


Ms Afi Yakubu receiving her award from his Excellency Ambassador Gene Cretz

Ms Afi Azaratu Yakubu, Executive Director of Foundation for Security and Development in Africa (FOSDA) has been awarded with  the Martin Luther King Junior Award for 2013 in recognition of her unwavering commitment to promoting peace and security in Northern Ghana.

At the Sixth Annual award ceremony to honour her in Accra on Friday 22nd March 2013,  Ms Yakubu thanked the US Ambassador, His Excellency Gene A. Cretz  and his team for recognising the importance of conflict resolution and peace building as critical elements in promoting social and economic development.
