GHANA: ACQUISITION OF FIREARM

The general public is reminded that, individuals, under the law, can possess firearm.
The procedure for acquiring and the subsequent licensing of these firearms for individuals are as follows: -

The applicant must show himself personally at any firearm licensing office at the Police Station to complete the relevant forms e.g. application to possess firearm (Form A1) and permit to bear firearm (Form A2). Reasons for all applications to possess firearm must be tangible.
